To Prevent Post Covid-19 Hunger: Borno Govt. Clears 10,000 Hectares  for Rice Farming.

Earlier, the Federal Government has urged Nigerians to venture into farming because there is no money to import foodstuff from outside the country.

In relation to this, Borno State Commissioner, Ministry of Agric & Nat Resources, Engr. Bukar Talba, on Wednesday visited Ajiri/Anadua Ward of Mafa Local Govt, on Assessment of rice farms.

Engr Bukar Talba, in a remark informed Mafa rice farmers of Government's commitment to assist them with pesticides and modern farm implements 

Comanding officer in charge of Army formation in Mafa LGA CK EBERE, assured of adequate security to farmers during this years farming season.

The CO. Thanked Gov. Babagana Umara Zulum, the Executive Governor of Borno State and the Hon. Commissioner for the initiation of such wonderful intervention and assured for regular monitoring of their activities.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Musa Inuwa Kuba said, the emphasize should be given to the IDP's that has nothing to do to benefits the Program.

The farmers to engage seriously on rice season farming to compliment the food loss to flood disaster this year farming season. 

He added that the present Government has designed more initiatives to see that farmers in the state get proper attention to attain food security.
