The Death of a bank manager who allegedly died of  COVID-19 has caused pandemonium in the residents of Onne, Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) after the confirmation of the death,  sealed the bank and commenced testing for the workers of the bank.

It was gathered that the gate man tested positive for the deadly virus.

A source who spoke under the condition of anonymity disclosed that those who tested positive to the deadly virus have been moved to the isolation centre for treatments and observation.

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, had earlier raised alarm over the act of banks and supermarkets in the state, with the claims that they do not mandate their customers to observe the safety rules that have been outlined by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and the state’s COVID-19 task force.

He said the negligence has resulted to the increase in the number of confirmed cases recently.

Recall that Rivers state has been recording high cases of the virus as reported by the NCDC over the past few days as 103 confirmed cases that was announced by NCDC on behalf of the state on Tuesday indicates that.
