Kebbi Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu was disappointed and didn't wait to answer journalist questions as the meeting to appeal on the incumbent Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki's case proved futile.

The intention of the meeting was to use the President Buhari to compel APC National Working Committee to reverse screening and appeal committees decisions,  however his Chief of Staff, Professor Gambari took over the meeting.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole addressed the press inside the Villa after the meeting along with some members of NWC where he told them the process has ended and the three aspirants cleared by the screening and appeal committees will contest the Sept 22 primary election.

He also said being an incumbent does not guarantee victory at polls, adding that APC will win the governorship election.

The Kebbi Governor who is also the Chairman, Progressive Governors Forum was the only Governor that attended the teleconference meeting, felt bad with the decisions made by the party Chairman.

Recently, Obaseki, seeking a second term has been disqualified from participating in the June 22 primary of the APC alongside two others due to the irregularities on his certificate.
