Covid-19: FAAN Begins Investigation Into Bribery Allegations At  Abuja Airport

Following the reports that some of the officials in airport demand bribe from returnees during Covid-19 clearance, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has begun an investigation into allegations at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja.

The airport officials were also alleged to have been taking bribe to help the returnees evade the mandatory Covid-19 test and isolation which serve as part of the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 guidelines.

Therefore, FAAN in a statement released via twitter on Sunday by its General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Henrietta Yakubu said an investigation into the allegation has commenced.

The General Manager further advised passengers to desist from giving money to airport officials and to report any official from any agency that requests money under any guise.
